1:25 p.m., Jan. 29, 2010--Beginning with the spring 2010 semester, the University of Delaware will offer a new undergraduate-level course in public health. HLPR/UAPP 267, "Introduction to Public Health", will be open to students in all majors. UD is also developing a minor in public health, which will be voted on by the Faculty Senate at its May 2010 meeting.

For other people without a teaching background, an education degree might sound like a promising choice for changing professions. 8:35 a.m., Jan. 13, 2010--If you've ever stepped a bare foot on the bottom of the Delaware River, you've discovered what scientists already know -- there's gooey, grey muck down there, and lots of it. Each year, more than a million tons of sediment washes into the Delaware River estuary, which winds 134 miles from Trenton, N.J., to the mouth of the bay.

2:23 p.m., Feb. 8, 2010--The University of Delaware has recently signed an agreement with Apple Computing to allow the installation of Apple software on all University-owned Apple computers. The terms of this agreement are similar to the terms of the Microsoft Campus Agreement that the University has had in place since 2007.
